A bargain at any price

Copies of Matthew Gasteier's brand new volume in the series, on Nas' Illmatic album, are currently shipping out of our warehouse in Pennsylvania. Much more on this book next week, but if you're serious about reading it before anyone else, you ought to know that Amazon is selling one used copy (in very good condition!) for just $999.99 (plus $3.99 shipping, which could be a dealbreaker).

Just so everyone knows, I am also selling copies of my book for $999.99, but I will throw in free shipping. Take advantage of this offer now... or at another time. Really. Any time.

Hi, folks. Ferris here, author of 33 1/3: Reign in Blood, the first English-language book about Slayer.

For a limited time only, I will you TWO autographed copies of MY book for only $499, shipping included, with some exclusive exetra swag.

Sorry, I can't do just one for $249.50; the free shipping thing really cuts into my profit margin.

Hit me up at slayerbook [ ( at ] ) gmail.com . At very least, I'll send you a free .pdf chapter from the book.

If you're gonna be cool about it, maybe -- maybe -- we can work out a lower price.

I think someone's been doing this for all of the books as they come out. I noticed it when I was (constantly) amazon-searching my own book before it came out.

Maybe there's a mole within Continuum? Or maybe I shouldn't have watched all those X-Files episodes.

It's not just 33 1/3 books, I've seen it several times for books that haven't been released yet or just came out. A 'place holder' maybe by outside sellers? Either way, it's a heck of a deal!

Ha! How did that happen?

This is off topic: But it's the end of April -- what happened to announcing the new titles?
